This is my chosen song and artist to make my music video. I believe this is a good song to choose because it is upbeat and the tempo changes regularly. It also has a storyline and I believe I can make a good video to this track. This is the video the artist herself made for the song.
This is a music video of the artist Ben Drew who's stage name is Plan B. This is a song which relates to his film which he scripted, filmed and editing himself with the help of others, 'ill manors'. The genre of this music is rap/hip hop and is quite popular 1,340, 653 views on this video on youtube alone.
It uses lip synching effectively from both himself and the woman in the video and the video conveys the mood of the song which is not upbeat nor slow, but quite fast pacing which is shown through the cuts and editing. Effects such as smoke is used and locations are relevant to the lyrics of the song and where the music originated from, which is in the film ill manors. A flashback is used and this is shown clearly through the screen becoming much smaller and the camera quality decreasing. I really enjoy watching this music video and this is why it is my favourite,
This is a brief overview of my music video blog and what I shall be doing over a period of time to achieve my own music video. I will be producing a music 'promo' video up to 5 minutes long working in a group on a piece of music from an unsigned artist. I will also be producing a 'digipak' which enables it to be released on CD and a magazine advertisement for the digipak. In addition I will be producing a critical evaluation. I will be carrying out various research on the music industry to give me ideas leading up to the filming and editing of my music video.
